OP here. Thanks for the tip . I did see some goodlooking ones, but I wasn't sure they'd hold up with the weight of books and papers. Good to know for next time!

I went with the Lands End one.

I got a really sturdy bag at the Kate Spad outlet. It has held up great for years.
