A custom upholstered chair whose frame broke in delivery is an item that you should not even want. Plus different dye lots of the same fabric could vary. Essentially I guess they are gluing it back together and reupholstering that part only. What store is this?

I luckily paid via American Express and called to dispute the chair. Let them know that the chair wasn't delivered and now the furniture company can't even tell me when it's going to be delivered, besides the fact I don't want the repaired frame. Now they plan on reaching out to the merchant. Fingers crossed. I feel like the furniture company is going to act like they can get me the chair and therefore I should pay - even though it might be two months from now.

I meant to ask if there's anything else I should do?

I'd be shocked if CC company doesn't take your side.

You are being reasonable. How did you pay? I would put everything in writing. Email them that you want a full refund.

I would cancel it if you can, definitely. Good luck!

I would try calling and cancelling. Tell them you can't wait any longer and see if they will give you a refund.

Call and cancel and than file a dispute with your credit card. Furniture stores are the worst, even high end ones.

Yes, it's custom.

The problem is I don't even want the chair anymore. Now that they are telling me they have to repair the chair and I'll have to wait for it to be repaired I really really don't want it!

Should I just refuse the chair?

I ordered a custom chair back in June. It was finally supposed to be delivered yesterday but the delivery men called and said they damaged the chair. Now they plan on getting a replacement back for the chair and repairing it. I figure this will take weeks at the very minimum.

Is it reasonable to completely cancel this order? I'm concerned the company is going to give me a hard time. I don't even want this chair anymore and I don't want a repaired chair for the price I paid. I want to start over and just find a different chair.

What would you do? Another option is I paid for it using American Express and assume I could dispute the charge.
