What a disgrace

Sadly there was probably other worse episodes that haven't been reported in the news. The problem is that the teachers, admin and likely some of the school board wouldn't see it as abuse. They could have grown up with similar authoritative style parenting and not think anything of the tactics used. Unfortunately, the teachers probably use the same methods at their home with their own kids.

Tax payers will have to continue to pay as they do now. The problem is that now there will be cuts in other areas of education to cover the loss in the grant. When participants in head start lose we all lose too! It is unfortunate that those in a position of power allowed this to happen.

But who will ultimately pay?

The federal government stop the grant but PG County is still going to go ahead with the program.

How could this have happened? Yes the obvious is mismanagement, but how could they not put forth an effort to resolve the problems. With childcare rising each year, this will be a hindrance for parents.
