A good amount I would guess... Full paint and floors, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodel, she even moved doorways to center them and recessed a powder room to open the hearth room. Maybe $150k?

That is not a lot of storage! Beautiful, though. Maybe someone who doesn't have kitchen stuff can buy it.

I love this house! Wouldn't want to live in McLean but otherwise I'd buy it!

Me, again. Also, the house looks good because of the furnishings. It isn't going to look good with a LaZBoy and stuff that a lot of people have. Wonder how much for the furnishings, too? Finally, the bedrooms are tiny.

I adore her and follow. We are in the process of remodeling our home and her blog is very inspirational to me.

I occassionally follow her because my career is in a tangential field and we are the same age. I am in awe of her having so many children in such a short time, and then buying and reselling houses as quickly as she does. I wonder if flipping with writing on the side is becoming her main thing?

I consider her to be talented, but mostly very VERY lucky in that her blog got the recognition it did.

She became well known for her Oakton house which she painted black and gave an interesting kitchen layout, then sold that house and bought a Cape Cod in McLean which she is now selling just about a year later:

Thoughts on the house? It's been on the market 5 days and I'm wondering how long it will take to sell given some of the more interesting design choices she's incorporated (white floors, a vegetable garden for a front yard, etc). I love the house and the changes she made but am thinking it will take a very specific buyer (one who shares this aesthetic and has $1.4 mil to spend on a house) so I'm curious how long it will be on the market. Also looking forward to seeing what she bought and how she'll approach that house... I love that she blogs her design choices in real time and explains why she makes the choices she does.
