Glad to hear that, OP! It's a beautiful color! I always get that buyer's remorse feeling when I do something with a lot of impact, like paint, then later I realize I really do love it.

Okay it looked better the second day - either it dried. Or I am getting used to it. Have plans for new art work and mirrors.

that is not a very dark color. It will dry a bit lighter if it is not fully dry yet. Also, try changing out your lightbulbs to a whiter bulb vs. yellow tone.

pretty much how I felt like night - and the house is completely ripped apart. So it was a bit discouraging. Hey if I can get used to the color that used to be there (mint green) - I can probably get used to this!

thanks PP. I needed to hear this. You know its funny - I've looked at photos of other people who have painted with this color and I like it. But I notice those homes have TONS of windows (which I don't). Hopefully it will grow on me.

True the rooms are not put back together. Problem is - the rooms (living/dining) are already pretty dark (north facing). I think a lighter color would've brightened them a bit. But is SO HARD to know how its going to look until its painted.

I don't mind the color. Just that it does not brighten the rooms at all. I think some new light fixtures might help.

I had most of the interior of my townhouse painted yesterday and it seems darker than I expected. I should've gone a shade lighter but its done now. (The paint I used was Olympic Toasted Almond).

Has anyone had buyer's remorse on paint? Will I get used to it? I can't afford to get it re-done (it was a struggle to pay for it this time!). I could re-paint some of it myself if it comes to that, but I can't do the stairwell. Plus what a waste of money.

I will say it is better than the mint green I had - but I'm certainly not in love with it. I haven't put the art work back up on the walls yet - maybe that will help.
