My DD is just under 2, I don't think she can open these herself, but they seem pretty easy. I've seen them at Target too.

LUNCHBOTS!
And honestly, what I did last year when I discovered that my kid could not open the bento box (not lunchbots, a different brand), I just used plastic bags. It looked less nice, but I thought it was more important that my kid got a lunch he could open and eat.

My 3 yo has a Bentgo and finds it very easy to open and close. I'm saying this because it was a challenge at first when the insert wasn't seated correctly. If you're sure it's in place then maybe you have one that is defective?

Take her to Target and let her test out which kind she can do herself.

Subject: Container for Pk3 lunch?
My just-turned- three year old will be starting pk3 next week. We bought her a bentgo kids box for lunches, but she is still having trouble opening and closing it after a few weeks of practice. I don't want it to be an issue at school or with her teacher. Are there any suggestions for easier to open/close containers?
