Start brining shopping bags with you. It's better for the environment and less likely to get mixed up with someone else's.

I'm a single mom and my ex husband is 2 months behind in paying his child support so these school supplies do matter. But if you give me $15, I will never post about this again.

She probable stole it. Either be friends and drop it, or stop being friends. Your choice.

I actually called the store. They don't have it and said I took it and my friend took her bag. My friend's car is a mess, she ran one more errand after dropping me off, and probably either mixed it in with her own stuff or she just can't find it in the car easily and is embarrassed.

Why are you posting this? In the grand scheme of life, if this is an issue worth spending this much effort pondering about, congrats.

Maybe call the store as well..just in case u left it there. They probably put it aside.

If a parent can accidentally leave their kid behind, it's possible you left a bag behind.

We made three separate stops. I forgot one specific bag when she dropped me off. I unpacked and texted her that I can pick it up Monday. She says the bag isn't there and she doesn't remember me having it. There's no question that I put the bag in her car. It's not worth wrecking a friendship over, but it bugs me that her immediate response is that the bag never made it into her car. Like I paid and then walked out completely empty-handed! I don't even know how to respond.
