Not OP but by the time I had boy #3, I was able to let hangups like this go. Underwear washed in hot water is as good as new, as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe the child who owns the clothes really loves them. It is selfish that your child wants to keep someone else's clothes without their consent. Give the clothes back and a $25 GC to a sports store as a thank you if you feel that bad. What message are you sending your child? That he can decide to take someone else's belongings without their permission and mommy will make it right. No wonder society has gone to $***.

I'm confused as to what happened to the clothes. You really can't figure out what is his and what isn't? That's really bizarre, but I guess a gift card to a store that sells UA clothes would be fine. Make sure it's enough to cover what has been "subsumed".

My son had to borrow some clothing from a friend. They are 12. It's a tee shirt, shorts and undies, all Underarmor brand (adult size).

My son has subsumed this clothing into his own - worn and washed it at least twice. How do I replace? Gift card? How much? Which shop? She's a single mom so i want to make an effort - buy a gift card. Just don't know how much and which store. Please advise - TIA
