National news does not pick it up for some reason. Probably because the powers that be in Chicago do not want attention drawn to the plight of violence in the city.

What are you talking about?? Most black people in Chicago aren't shooting other people and they most certainly aren't "pigs." Most black people in Chicago are good folks who don't want themselves or their families to be victims of gun violence, just like you. And their plight deserves as much attention and concern as if it were your community at risk.

Also, depending on the trend line you're looking at, the problem is definitely "growing." Instead of ignoring the situation, you might benefit from educating yourself.

It's a mix of black and Hispanic, please go look at the crime statistics before making such statements. Chicago is still INSANELY segregated as far as where the white population is and where the black population is.

No, that was NOT my point. I am from Chicago and my point was this problem has existed forever and it's never in the news outside of Chicago. If this is the first you're hearing about it then YOU are grossly unaware of the violence in the city. Google "wilding".

No one is denying anything, but I find it comical that this problem has existed for DECADES and it is just now being posted about as if OMG the shock!

OF COURSE we should do something about it. What do you know about the police force being cut in Chicago, the dynamics of the gangs, why the attacks are happening on the North side and not just the South side?

Seriously, my point was that posting this article does zero to help eliminate the crime and it was posted for shock value, not to help anyone.
