My boys are very into soccer (my sport) and I love that I share that with them. I played at a very high level and bonded with my own dad about it. I know more about the sport than their father so it's our special thing.
My younger son has always been an extreme mama's boy and has loved to cuddle. The older one is just so damn funny. He is witty and smart and we share a funny humor.
I like that our activities are very centered around the physical. My husband is also extremely athletic and family soccer, football games and races are common. My nephews are HS and post-college--mine are elementary and pre-teen and it is great to see all stages and what good men the nephews turned out to be. They still come home for Holidays and like to come visit.
I might be strange, but I had the opposite reaction of OP. We visited some cousins with pre-teen and teen girls and I kept thinking--thank god I'm not dealing with that. The parents were pulling their hair out.
Boys tend to be fiercely protective of their mamas. Look at all the Olympic athletes thanking mom

I'm so excited to be a MIL! With 3 boys and no girls, I figure i'll probably like 1 of my DILs and not like the others. I can focus on relationship building with the one I like without the obligation that seems to come with having daughters.

We have two girls and our youngest is a boy. If I could guarantee another boy I would have one more. I don't have it in me to raise another girl. Girls are pretty high maintenance imo.

We have two boys that are 19 and nearly 16 and they are great friends (they still fight but all-in-all). I am SO happy they have each other.

I have 2 boys (23 and 26) and I wish I had 2 more! Life with them has been fun, easy and completely uncomplicated. As others have said, they will always adore you and be your little (and big when they grow up) protectors. I am beyond proud of my household of all boys!
I have very close relationships with my nieces so I feel like I get my girl fix with them. I know it's not the same, but it's all I need.

I have two boys, 17 and 14. No one loves their momma in an uncomplicated way like boys do! So little drama, no same gender parent to rebel against to create their own identity. You can be affectionate and love them without reservation. No mood swings! No crazy amount of shoes and a million outfit changes a day. So easy to please with gifts.

Lots and lots of laughter.
Learning not to worry about stupid stuff. You quickly figure out that if it is not broken or burning then it is not worth flipping out over. Drama is reserved for things like 2 ER trips in one week.
All good things (but especially brother hugs) end up in wrestling, hitting, running around or some extension of a bodily function.
Middle school drama is WAY lower than it is for families with girls.
Their toys are cooler. Way cooler.
We can get all three showered, dressed, hair done and out the door in about 20 minutes and not one of them complain about the way they look. Try doing that with three teen girls.
I am from a family of girls and most of my siblings have all girls or mostly girls. I wanted three girls and got three boys. I would not trade them for the world.
My parenting goal now that they are getting into teen years is to make sure they have the household skills to become functional husbands so future DILs don't complain that I never taught them to lift a finger or do anything, and for myself to maks sure I make an appropriate break from them later so I do not hecome "that"mother in law

I have three boys (and only boys), ages 33, 30 and 11. Luckily, my 11 year old is still snuggly and perfectly silly at home (while still being "Cool" around his friends). One thing I love seeing in my older sons, is how they interact with their long-term girlfriends. They are so loving and sweet. It makes me smile knowing that I helped them become loving men and I know they will both be wonderful fathers. They also seem somewhat protective of me, which is kind of cute. Sometimes I wonder what it may have been like to have a little girl, but I'm hopeful one of the boys will someday have a little girl

Opening jars, mowing lawns, watching them do sports I never wanted to do. That's about it. All the rest is grunting and hearing them pee because it's really loud in our (old old) house. It like, echoes.

So I had been feeling at peace with the fact that our third, last baby is a boy. I love seeing the three of them play and they already have an amazing bond. They are still silly and snuggly and sweet at this point and I love our life! Then, my aunt and cousins (girls - 21 and 16) came for a long visit... and it just really hit me that I will never get to experience that type of relationship with my boys. I can't even really explain it, but just seeing the three of them interact over a period of days, it just made me sad. So, please tell me about what it's like with older teen/young adult boys and how great it will be.
