No. But my ex-husband did this regularly when we were married. He'd get the position and then find himself in over his head because he lacked requisite skills. Needless to say, he was soon job hunting again. I suspect that he still does this because he landed a position last year that I knew he wasn't qualified to hold (we're in the same field), but was demoted after a month.

Omission of information is not a lie PP. We all have to omit info on our resume or it would be 5 pages long!

At my last employer, they did additional checks on facts in your resume after you passed your background check and they hired you. So a couple weeks after they hired someone, they escorted her from her office and sent around an email saying she's not allowed back on the premises. Turns out she fabricated some past experience on her resume.

Understating your education and/or experience is not lying. Or at least I wouldn't consider that to be lying. Claiming educational credentials or experience that you don't have - that's lying.
