Matching sets from Nike or Under Armour or Adidas or Old Naby or even Target are all the rage with little boys I know. Can you let him help pick them out (or include a receipt so they can exchange)? Even at that age my son could be picky about patterns and colors and logos.

Beyond the insane price, I don't know any boys who'd wear that except when forced.

My son is 6 and he likes both. I don't buy a lot of character shirts out of my preference but most of the boys wear either athletic clothing or the character teeshirts.


My 6 year old has no idea what under armour or any other brand is. He likes owls, star wars and soccer. He'll be going into 1st.

My DS wore mostly jeans and khakis/cargo pants, but usually pulled them up and down rather than undoing and doing the snap. Snaps and zippers don't mean that pants don't also have elastic.

I'd add lego's to the list as well. But, ask what he likes.

He will not care if you buy him Target/Old/Navy or a fancy brand (which is more for the parents than kids).

My son, as did most of the boys, wore character t-shirts, solid t-shirts, jeans, sweats. I wouldn't really think anyone was fashionable except of picture day. That day I saw lots of polo shirts and jeans.

My K boy didn't like any shirts that didn't have a fun design. I used 3 sources- Boden, Hanna Anderson, and Old Navy. Hanna has great bottoms with elastic waists.

I'd like to buy my grandson some clothes and shoes for school but not sure what's in fashion with kids right now. He still needs elastic waists as zippers and snaps can be a problem. Any suggestions?
