I sat close to the screen for Blair Witch and it didn't cause any issues.

BTW - there is a 3rd one coming in September. It was originally titled "The Woods", and some trailers are using that title still.

Blair Witch

left the theater, barely made it home to vomit, had a migraine for two days

Same movie same situation. Barely made it out of the theater to vomit and headache for two days. If someone had told me before hand "you're never going to see the witch" I would've been fine. Problem was I kept scanning the screen while it was using the shaky cam and it was too much for me.

I just saw the movie today and in some scenes, TLJ looked like death. If anyone needs plastic surgery, it's him. I would guess it is difficult to apply make-up to him due to the deep lins in his face.

Nope, didn't get a headache at all.

The movie wasn't good though.

Not PP, but yes, Matt Damon makes me nauseated. But, I suspect that the director uses the quick cut/action technique and/or the too-close-up shots which is painful to watch. It's assumed that certain genres - like high action movies - the audience has the attention span of a 12-year-old boy.

Oh, no - this isn't a movie with a lot of handheld camerawork, is it? I cannot watch those at all, and I really wanted to see this. I had to watch The Big Short through my fingers and basically just listened to it after a half an hour. Bah humbug.

Movies' jump cut speeds have dramatically increased. Watch "the Fugitive" from early 90s compared with something like "Captain Phillips," which gave me a headache like OP.

I'm not the pp, but, as a man who does not look like Matt Damon, I hope this is a thing. I hope it spreads to Brad Pitt next.
