I am a parent who has been here for a few years now. Ms. Womack was the Assistant Principal for years. She knows the history and culture of the school, has a strong educational background and there are alot of us who are excited about her assuming this role. Hopefully, you had a chance to attend the meet and greet on Thursday past to meet the staff. Check out the RGMS PTSA site to ensure that you are connected. Principal Burton has accepted a position closer to home. Ms. Teresa Bey, formerly Assistant Principal at New Carrollton ES will be the new principal at HES.

OK, that link touches on RGM, but not what's happening at Hyattsville Elementary School. Is Julia Burton leaving? Who's replacing her?

I believe the principal of HES is leaving too, but my child's too young to attend, so I'm not in the loop about what happened.

All I know is that the principal of Goddard is leaving. I don't have any other details, since my daughter will not begin there until the upcoming school year. If anyone has anymore details, please chime in, because I am curious as to what is going on.

What is going on at Hyattsville Elementary School and Robert Goddard Montessori? Who's leaving? Where are they going? Why? How was this communicated? Who will be leading those schools? Any information about them?
