Definatly no jokes allowed with my Miss Moody, she is ten so the next few years are gonna be sooo much fun. I think I shall just lock her in her room for the next five years.

My husband thought he had it bad when I was PMSing now he also gets it from or daughter (11 also) and honestly when I'm PMSing I still behave like I'm still going through puberty myself at 35

Wow. That's so young. I'm sorry.

Well, 12 is average.

Nope. The month she turned 13 she spiraled out of control but it died down after that, and she's mostly back to herself.

It's puberty, you're "DOOMED". It may help to try and find an outlet for her to vent her frustration. I was going through puberty at that age and I was a right monster. My mom said I went to bed one night and got taken over by the puberty monster lol.

Yep I hear ya, my 9yr old is full of the puberty hormones, happy one minute then crying and feeling frustrated the next but cannot say why. I hear it starts calming down once periods start so they can't start soon enough in our house lol.

My mother said the worst year of her life was when I was 10.

And she was divorced twice.

Yes, lots of tears, can't take any jokes or laugh at her mistakes, goes from happy to freak out in 30 seconds. Super fun times!

Mine is! She is almost 10 and acts like a complete 2 year old sometimes. And yet, at other times, it's like a more mature, interesting, inquisitive and charming part of her personality is developing. I have an older DD who didn't really go through this (yet?) so I'm perplexed. But not alone I see. We are trying to help her regulate and teaching appropriate behavior when frustrated or angry b

Mine didn't have it at that age, but later on. I posted before that my DS has delayed puberty so maybe that is why his "attitude" started when he was almost 17.

Yes! DD was that way especially the year before and the year to 1.5 years after it started. Hang on - it will pass. I spent a lot of time helping her understand that hormones and how they can make you feel. She almost always still has 1 major meltdown/angry episode 2 days before her period starts. She is almost 17 now.

Teary, angry, frustrated, etc. Is this a sign of her morphing into a beast or just puberty? Is there hope or am I doomed?
