Pants or shorts would have just made using the bathroom even more annoying and it was already a production. I also wanted easy access to breastfeeding and doing skin to skin cuddling with my baby. I also was a bit swollen from fluids during labor so when I did try to put on a bra or tank top, it felt SO SO constricting and tight.
Obviously this was just my experience. But I'll bring maybe one possible hospital outfit and then clothes to go home in for #2.
Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I might bring a short, silk-like robe to wear. That would have been perfect. Maybe something with a pattern so my nipples aren't obvious in pictures or for visitors. Hmm, I'm going to look into that.
