You don't really have any choice. Teachers switch schools and positions all the time.

True. They do have 5 years to comply but I wouldn't willingly put my child in a class unless all the teachers were certified, not in the process of being certified, unless I had no other choice.

OP- do you mind sharing the name of your child's base school? And, how long was it from the announcement that the former principal would be leaving to announcement of the newly selected principal?

I would call the school but unless they have the teachers with AAP certification, it doesn't matter what the principal's experience is. May be worth pursuing for your younger children should they get into AAP, so even if your school doesn't have LLIV now, talk to the principal about it, it could come later.

Our local school just got a new principal and in the notice it mentioned they had experience with implementing Local Level IV AAP at their prior school.

We just moved to the district and also just got a notice that oldest DC got into AAP at the center school (not our local school). If the local is about to put in place LLIV though I'm not keen to send DC to the center if she can get AAP IV level at the home school.

Anyway to find out which schools are supposed to be getting LLIV this year or next?
