This is pretty much the norm for any healthcare job or jobs where you work with kids and the elderly. The first time I applied for a job at a school was 15 to 20 years ago and they required proof of certain vaccinations (TB, etc.).

This is a typical standard requirement in the healthcare field. If you have an issue with providing a proof your immunization record look for a job in another field or go back to SAHM.

If she has insurance, vaccines are often covered 100% depending on what they are for and your age. Pretty sure the ones required for this job would be covered.

The are volunteer organizations that require a flu vaccine for people working with the homeless.

I'm surprised they would ask for it. But I don't see an issue with giving vaccinations over.

DH travels to 3rd world countries for his work and his work vaccinates him and gives him malaria pills before each trip as needed. It would be ridiculous if they told him to vaccinate himself when it's a job requirement. My mom is an RN and her work vaccinates her yearly as well. Why should she pay for vaccines out of pocket?

Healthcare position offer can be contingent on passing physical, part of which is demonstrating you are free from communicable disease and are immunized.

What exactly are you afraid "the internet" will do with your dates of vaccination, OP? You are already uploading your name, DOB, address, etc?

Medical history and proof of vaccinations is hardly the same thing. You want to work in healthcare yet can't make this distinction. You scare me, OP

My bet is OP doesn't want to be vaccinated for common illnesses like the flu and they're trying to get out of providing the proof of vaccination, since they don't have it.

Seriously! I hope OP's not a doctor.

Normal for some jobs. I had one that required a drug test and blood test (to verify the vaccines - they were happy to give me a copy) as well.

That is a bit creepy, but OP's situation simply is not. Totally misleading Subject and weird concern for someone in healthcare. Of course they can ask for proof of vaccines!

It's standard for the industty. You should know that considering you're going into healthcare.

Youre being way too dramatic Op.

Strongly agree.

Do you think having the vaccines is a reasonable requirement for the job? What is your concern, exactly? They aren't asking for unrelated health info, are they, like your gyno records or information about any moles you have?

The job is in healthcare so I will need to provide proof of vaccines. but I'm uncomfortable with the idea of uploading my info to a site.
