Men are morons. Why would you fork over all this money if you have not even met the woman?

My idea of first date activities would include bowling, walking around a pedestrian-friendly downtown-style area, watching a movie, going to a museum, or maybe going to a sporting event of some sort.

It has never occurred to me -- and granted I'm married, so maybe dating is different now than in the gay 90s -- to take some woman I'd never met shopping, much less at a high end store.

Now as part of "doing errands together" with a long-time GF, sure. And if it's "I spend $100, she would spend $10" I might pick up her item, or if I saw something at (low or medium end store of choice) I thought she might like (or I'd like her in it), I'd do it.

BigLaw (tm) men really do lead different lives.

The recent thread on who pays for dinner on a date suggests otherwise.

It's long been said that women out number the men in this area. Yet, if online dating is an accurate indicator, women receive far more introductory e-mails than do men. Of course, not all of them are particularly "gentlemanly."

Many of the men have a specific type. They want you in the heels and dress and shoes etc that they like
