Tom Sawyer. For sure. Mine were ages 4 and 10 and both were mesmerized by the story and the colorful writing.

The Ramong books are read by Stockard Channing and are quite good, if there are any you haven't read.

A few audiobooks my child enjoyed at that age

Dragon Rider by Cornelia Funke

The Bunnicula series

Dealing with Dragons by Patrician Wrede

and definitely Harry Potter if you haven't done that yet.

My DD and I listened to "How to Eat Fried Worms" on a road trip to Richmond. It was a book that I loved growing up, but now can't figure out what appealed to me so much.
