It will be hot tonight in your house.
Do you have a basement that stays cooler, like my house's basement?
You can set up and air mattress down there.
Otherwise, Mom's is the place.

Close all the shades. Do you have ceiling fans? Turn them on in every room you have them. Don't go to your mom's if you have repairperson coming in the morning. Sleep with windows open and fans on, or if you have a cool basement, sleep down there.

77-78 degrees is my normal summer house temperature.

77 isn't a bad inside temperature. I would get a fan. Do you have a basement you can hang out in?

2. Pack up our stuff and head to my mom's house 30 min away- she will not be home so it won't be someone there helping me, and getting DD to camp on time tomorrow am will be a 45 minute ride in beltway traffic
3. Go to a hotel for the night
4. Put a fan elsewhere in the room and hope things cool off tonight

I have a 4 yo DD. It is currently 77 degrees inside the house..

Is 77 okay or are you too hot? My condo is 78 and it's actually pretty cool inside.

Do you need help with a 4 year old? I get you are pregnant but what do you need help with?

Is it a big deal if your DD is late to camp or misses it altogether?

Is paying for a hotel worth not driving in traffic and being to camp on time?

Of course it will cool off later tonight. You can also go buy another fan and put it on you while you sleep.

How pregnant are you? If you can spare the $$ just head to a close by hotel. It is supposed to be very hot tomorrow. If you are staying I would not open any windows for a fan as is it much hotter outside. Just blow the fan where you are inside.

If you can't afford hotel, then mom's house.

A fan either in the window or elsewhere if you'd feel more comfortable. It's only 77 in your house now (which is a very comfortable temperature) and the outside temperature will be cooling within a couple hours.
