Yet again, this whole election year makes me sad. Nobody actually wants the vp gig with trump. No one actually wants to be associated with that ticket.

Yet, somehow, he is going to be the R nominee when the other people in his party pretty much despise him.

I'm not saying the D candidate is a shining example of anything, but at last she's sane.

My order of preference: 1) Cotton 2) Christie 3) Sessions.

Utter loss of words.

Why? Who would you choose as the Republican VP?

On the Democratic side looks like Warren is fading. Whew. She's as much a far-left socialist as Sanders.

Speaking as a Democrat, Trump's best bet for VP would be someone with some appeal outside of his blue-collar white male base. I'm thinking someone like Gov. Brian Sandoval of Nevada or maybe Sen. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire. But I don't think they want the job.

Pence has never struck me as desperate at all. I'm really surprised that he wants the job, if he actually does.

He's facing a difficult re-election campaign for governor this year. This could give him a way out.

Puts his name on the national radar screen and gives him a potential launching pad as the true conservative in 2020.

I think you overestimate the success this ticket will have.

Cotton's too busy being a penpal with Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

I think the media and pundits are pushing for Pence and Newt.

It has to be Pence. Christie is a laughingstock saddled with terrible polling in NJ and a simmering corruption problem. Pence is one of the few dumb and desperate enough to want to run as a Veep candidate. At least the Donald will be able to carry the LGBT-hating evangelical vote.

Trump's main problem is himself. I think he could have Thomas Jefferson as his VP and he will still tank in the general.

So much for the diversity you all were crowing about in the primaries.

It looks like the VP list is down to two: Mike Pence and Chris Christie.

Newt is too old. Jeff Sessions is good but I am not sure he has the energy and skills to deal with the media. Mike Flynn shot himself in the foot with his pro-choice comments over the weekend. I like Tom Cotton but he has not been mentioned anywhere for the past week.

I personally think Trump can win with either one of them, and I like Christie better. But it looks like the media and political consultants all think it's going to be Mike Pence. Who is your pick of the two?
