Lots of boys carry string bags for phones and cash. The lack of pockets is a pain.

How do your kids take their cell phones with them? My kids (boys) wear athletic shorts that don't have pockets and claim it's annoying to take the cell phone. How do your DS manage it? Backpacks everywhere they go? Pockets?
