Call Verizon and have them give you international coverage for that period of time, you may have to pay for 30 day minimum.
I have had AT&T do this several times for me and it is very easy.

What's the cheapest, easiest thing to have int'l cellphone coverage for a week? We currently have a Verizon domestic plan.
