Definitely order ahead at Cava. And yes, there is typically not enough seating for all who want to eat there.

Mosaic has a Cava, no?

Yes and lots of other restaurants too. Lots of new places by the Dunn Loring station too.

Do you eat pho? A pho lunch will cost under 40 for the family. Most places have kids portions.
And of course, pho is delicious!
We go to Pho Cyclo at Rt 50 and Gallows most often because we live nearby, but for more authentic experience you could go to Eden Center.

I am avoiding gluten, but if I didn't, I'd be a fixture at Marumen - a new ramen place at Fairfax Circle. It is a bit more expensive than typical pho, but also delicious.

If you like Chinese, try Hong Kong Palace in Falls Church. The best dishes: cumin beef, yuxiang eggplant, tiger peppers, and mapo tofu. Afterwards, head a couple of stores down to Tiffany's bakery, they have awesome eclairs. The other desserts selections are nice, but the eclairs are phenomenal!!

Kid's meals are pretty huge. Have you tried getting one kid's meal and splitting it between the kids?

Roti

Moby Dicks

Wegmans Food Bars at the front of the store then have a picnic

and cut out any wine or alcohol - that's what costs money
