PP, this sounds similar to what we would like to do in reference to finishing the entire attic area and possibly adding a second story addition to an existing addition in the back of our house. We did redo our kitchen last year. I am curious about a ballpark cost for what you described--and sorry if that is rude to ask. We've never worked w/ an architect before and the renovations we've done so far we managed w/ hiring a contractor b/c it wasn't extensive. Thanks so much!

and thanks to the other PPs for all suggestions!!

Sounds more like a porn star's name than an architect's!

Ha! She is amazing - has designed three spaces/houses for me.

I've never worked with them but I've admired their work. They seem to understand that expanding a bungalow is more than just slapping a big box on the back.

I'm normally anti design/build, but I live in TKPK and have seen some beautiful additions they have done in the neighborhood. Check their website.

They are a local firm and the owner is an active part of the community.

We hope to finish our cottage/bungalow attic to add bedrooms and an upstairs. Would love recommendations for architects with experience with small homes. We live in a 1920s one floor bungalow in Takoma Park. Thanks!
