My kids at that same age loved, loved it. We saw little frozen creeks, with bit of water running, pretended we saw dwarfs and tiny tree elves, it was magic for kids. Water can be cold and weather spotty in warm areas during December. Keystone and Breckenridge offer ski passes for both resorts, not badly priced, and you can get a small apartment with a kitchenette, right at the base by ski lifts. Ski rentals are also very cheap, if you look around, I know a great place for it. Happy to share if other people are interested.

Someplace warm, either with a kitchenette or all inclusive, and with a kids club for elementary school aged kids. Suggestions? We looked at Club Med but do not have that kind of money
