Maybe look for solid sheet sets and duvet cover and then add butterfly or heart shams or accent pillows?

Check Target. I'm the PP moving my 3 y/o into a queen bed soon, and I have been eyeing Target's sheets. They have more "kid-like" patterns than other stores.

OP here; that's exactly what went down in our house. Except for the new baby part. Old guests complain old guest bed too hard, tot bed kept falling apart. 3 yr old gets massive big girl bed; old guests get new squishy mattress and all I want are some sheets that look *slightly* girly. I like a relaxing room (all of them) so like soft, sleep-inspiring colors and patterns...

I had the exact same thought - not trying to be judgemental but "little kid" colors and prints are hard to find in Q sizes.

Looking for a kids' pattern in queen size may be tough. Check Bed Bath & Beyond and Overstock - filter by queen, purple, cotton, etc.

I just tried pottery barn kids and their website sucks plus all of the items I want are not available until October. WTheck?

Anyway, I am hoping for something lavender and subtle; maybe little owls, hearts, butterflies.

prefer soft 100% cotton, buy online.
