Well, it's far, far more conservative on criminal law issues than the Warren Court was. It's also conservative on free speech issues, in the sense that it is skeptical of speech codes. Other than that, the Court is whatever Kennedy wants it to be. A man without guiding legal principles it seems. So one side wins some, the other side wins some. To conservatives, CJ Roberts was the ultimate sell out on healthcare.

Yeah for the last two terms.

Overall, the court has had three solid decades of conservatism. Only a handful of issues (abortion, gay rights) have had liberal outcomes.

Not according to the NYT! This court is as leftist as the Warren court.
