I know someone with an Evelyn. They call her Ee-vie. I also know a couple Evangeline (s) who go by Evie (Ee-vie.)

I think Eh-vie..goes with Evelyn and Ee-vie goes with Eva or Eve

I don't know any little ones named this, but I LOVE IT. It was high on my list for #2, who is a boy. Love love love Eve NN: Evie.

So I vote for you to do it because I love it and I'd like to like through you.

A lot more popular since The Descendants.

I know two babies Evie in our circle - one for Eve and one for Evelyn. I love it, but it is pretty common.

I have never heard Eh-vee.

I hear Eve-ee. I would definitely need to be corrected on Eh-vee.

That name has been around forever. Can't go wrong.

I've only met one and she is over 18 now. I would use it if you loved it though. I don't think your Evie will run into too many of them!

Evelyn is original a boys name. Of course now no one would use it for a a boy just like Ashleigh and Leigh.

Eve isn't terribly popular, but Eva is enormously popular and lots of them go by Evie as well.

Pronunciation would be "Eve-eee" for the nickname. Not sure how much we'd go by Eve or the nickname. Probably call Evie as a baby/toddler, maybe Eve as she gets older?
