Saliva is fine, but preseed is awesome

It never caused us any problems.

Oh gosh! TTC sex can already be so tedious no reason to make it worse! Saliva is fine. I conceived both kids with saliva involved and preseed inside. Some women act like the less fun you have while TTC, the more successful you'll be.

After a year of trying I'm newly pregnant. Used preseed for months, but pretty sure saliva was involved when we conceived. So, it might not help, but it's not necessarily getting in the way.

My OB/GYN said NO saliva! Definitely pre-seed. It's expensive but so very worth it.

Saliva is a horrible lubricant in any case.

I will say that Preseed seemed to do the trick for us after 6 months of trying.

+1 preseed.

I have definitely heard that saliva will interfere. I would just use preseed for the 5 days or so in which it will.

It's probably not a huge deal when certain things are happening because it's external. You could always wipe it off. But if you need lube for the main show, get a TTC-friendly lube like PreSeed.

I have read mixed things about lubricants while TTC and recently read that saliva can interfere. Does anyone know if that's true and to what degree it's a problem? We have stopped using regular lube, but sometimes do use saliva and/or it's involved because of er...what goes on beforehand...should I worry about this?
