Definitely use a liner as PP said, it's messy. Also, the wetness will irritate you. Apply coconut oil over the whole area & also insert the suppository with some oil on it each time to avoid bad irritation.

+1. Just did a quick search and couldn't come up with anything to support this. Just saw one study from last year, but it was focused on progesterone gel. Thanks!

Yes, vm get up an hour early, insert it, go back to sleep. Then shower. Put the night one in before bed. Lots of discharge! Liners are a must!

You can do whatever you want, but scientific studies show otherwise.

That's just what my RE's instructions said, but definitely something to keep in mind and ask my nurse about if I ever need those pesky things again!

Or you can be proactive and read the research. It also says that intercourse lessens the amount of progesterone absorbed by the woman, therefore lowering its effectiveness.

I was told that if I'm using suppositories twice a day - one in the morning and one at night... Just have sex at night before putting in the evening dose.

I guess DH could also wipe off after (my advice, not the medical advice).

Are you pre or post transfer? I think there are some restrictions on sex after retrieval and before beta tests.

My nurse said you can, but you'll need to use a condom. Your husband could absorb some otherwise.

Np here. I had no idea about this. Oops!

Use a panty liner because they make you a little messy.

I inserted my first one this morning. Is there anything I should know?
