I'd recommend trying Little Pearls again, and requesting Dr. Mike. I'm surprised they didn't get back to you; I've always found them responsive.

Dr. Mike is a great dentist, very patient. My children have been seeing him since they were 1yr old and he's never rushed them or pushed through them being uncomfortable.

We love Pediatric Dentistry of Reston. Dr. Neda has a page on her site about welcoming kids with special needs. They've been great!

I drive 50 miles to take my kids to see her, didnt think going down the road would be a big deal for you, no.

I think it's kind of crazy to drive that far for a dentist.

Yes it is.
Only we had closer dentists hounding us to bring DS into the hospital to have work done under general anesthesia.
Once you go there there's a death risk, infection risk and I've heard too many times about kids like my son having their teeth replaced needlessly under anesthesia.
Literally hounding me - calling us at home a LOT.

DS was pretty severe and wiggly at the time only after seeing Dr Reardon once snd taking a Valium before he now loves to go and takes no meds (except sometimes nitrous oxide for a big cavity).

I like how she's very responsible and protective and doesn't push unnecessary meds . If DC needs it they do in office sedation but she keeps that rare.
DS loves her and going there a lot.

12:30 - I did hear about Dr. Mike Gazori and left them a message a couple of days ago. Haven't heard back yet, so I thought I would post a new thread. I will try again.

Thanks so much everyone, it is really nice of you to take the time.

12:18 - No worries, I do appreciate your suggestion. I was just hoping for someone a little closer. I will look into this as well.

Mike Gazori of Little Pearls is excellent. We go to him from Rockville! They're a pediatric dental practice with a focus on the special needs population (for us, autism). Can't say enough good things about the whole practice (from front desk to the dental staff to Dr. Gazori).
