More importantly, what were you doing in a back alley? You must start your own thread. Between fat shaming and frozen tampons, it has been unusually boring this week.

Had a question while I was pregnant and Google sent me here. I'm from DC, so I found some of the local angle stuff really useful. That kid is now almost 5, and I spend more time reading off topic than parenting stuff these days!

Looking for stroller reviews before I had my first. Little did I know just how important that choice would be. Thank goodness DCUM set me straight!

Yeah - I used to look for baby items for sale on the list serve. Now my kids are older I'm mostly here for the entertainment. Occasional parenting question.

Googled a school question and DCUM thread came up. I used to ignore everything but the school forum. Then one day...

Had twins and had a question when they were infants. Googled for the question and a thread on DCUM came up. I've been hooked ever since. Twins are now approaching their 5th birthday.

It's been an eye opening experience.

I posted on a different forum I used to frequent about needing advice/information related to infertility in the DC area. I got referred to DCUM...and 5 years later I'm still here. Now with 1 kid and another on the way.

The DCUM IF forum was really helpful to me in terms of getting actual information about clinics, doctors, and treatments etc. Now I sometimes think DCUM is just a huge time suck for me.

Googled nanny abuse years ago when I worked as a nanny. Turns out my employers were taking advantage of me and I gave notice right away .
