OP, you made the right call. Why waste your money on a lousy date? You already wasted your money on what you had eaten/drank. You saved yourself 20 bucks and used it for a more fun time with your friends.

You can't talk about equal rights and expect men to pick up the tab. Plus, with online dates, it's hard to tell who invited who sometimes.

The quality of the date is irrelevant. Who was the person who asked who? Who typed,"So can we meet for dinner next week?" That person pays.
