I didn't think the implied rape was that big of a deal. Sorry. There are other parts of the movie that would be tough. That being said, I'm sure both of my kids saw it by 12.

Love, love, love this film. I have a 12-year-old and would probably walt until she was 15.

It is absolutely a modern classic and I think it will hold up over the decades.

The gang rape is implied but it is there.

An older teen could handle it. A 13 year old? I'd probably wait.

I love that movie. a mature teenager could handle it. My son is only 9, but I could see him obsessing over being falsely accused and put in jail.

Its not just "a rape" - its systematic gang rape. Its very nasty. I would not allow my kids as early - mid teens to watch that because I know them enough to know how upset / harrowed they be by seeing it.

I don't think today's teenagers would have a problem watching it. There is so much more violence on tv and in the movies.

My 15-year-old just watched it and loved it.

I would. There is reference to rape, but my teens know about rape.
