Can you shed more light on this - is this something parents do, or is expected from the OT?
Are there any QST specialist in the area you recommend?

Hi, we did qst through our OT and I also bought the book/did it at home every day for several months when our child was 5. It was interesting to discover which parts of the body were particularly sensitive-especially the ears and behind the ears where we could hardly touch them at first. Our child eventually got used to me doing ‘pat pat’ as they called it, but we never saw any huge changes. Even our OT was shocked at how little our child responded to it, as she had seen others really benefit. Worth trying as it doesn’t do any harm. Good luck!

Has anyone tried QST massage to reduce autism symptoms? Have read that qigong massage is really beneficial for kids on the spectrum who are under 6 years old, but was wondering if anyone has first hand experience. Thanks!
