Well, most kids start AAP 3rd grade, so no, you don't have time to find out. Your DC should have only been in the program for a year.

But welcome to NOVA, which is nothing like ROVA. And to DCUM, where if you ask such a basic question in the wrong forum without doing a site search or google search first, you will get snarky answers. So, DCUM 101:

Alexandria residents - no

It is a Fairfax county school, so it depends on the agreement the neighboring county has made with Fairfax.

The school divisions currently participating in TJHSST are:

Arlington County
Fairfax County (includes City of Fairfax)
