There are some interesting architectural block sets out there that my two sons enjoyed at that age.

Magnatiles get a ton of use at our house. Goldieblox were not as popular.

Go to fatbraintoys.com -- you can search by age and category (such as construction toys or building stuff).
We like Magnatiles, Squigz, and Lego Technic (remote control legos).

Any ideas?
trying to get my kids (5 year old boy and 7 year old girl) something interesting and unique for their ramadan gifts.
I know they would love another lego set, but i'm just wondering what more is out there,
