Subject: Life changing book you read as a teen
My 6th grade teacher had us read Izzy Willy Nilly by Cynthia Voight. Girl loses her leg in some drunk driving incident, her life changes, etc...
Kind of controversial and likely wouldn't be allowed today but I felt it made a pretty strong impression about how small decisions can be huge, and the cusp of middle school is a good time to get this.

In college I read Upton Sinclairs The Jungle. My all time favorite book. Puts my life really in perspective.

Wondering if anyone can recommend a book that really impacted them as an older teen or young college. Looking for so thing to give my son this summer and not sure if my choices (mom) would be something he'd like. Trying to spark a love of reading that hasn't really happened yet.
