Have you read Gone with the Wind? I read that for the first time a couple summers ago and absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down. Huge book and I carried it with me everywhere.

I love Liane Moriarty. And I think Gone with the Wind is so good it's annoying.

NP here. I don't think OP said light? I just finished A Little Life and it was amazing. But yeah, you're going to be crying on the beach, so depends on if that sounds good to you or not. (I took forever to finish it because I normally read at lunch but couldn't read that because I was crying in the staff lounge all the time.)
