One two different occasions it's taken me 4 hours to go the last 20 miles of the trip. No I am not exaggerating at ALL. We'd hit a little traffic on 95S that slowed us down a bit, and some around Va Beach. So we hit the bridge lead-up right around noon (the WORST) and we literally inched along for hours. Worst traffic I have EVER been in. That was when leaving DC around 7:30am. The one time we left at 6am on the dot, we had a great, easy ride.
I'd leave later, like 4 or 6pm instead of at noon.
You had better rethink not being concerned about 95 south as well. It's changed in recent years.
