OP is hosting a party for six year olds. For six year olds and older blindfolded is better. The pinata won't last more than a few kids if they are able to see it.

Your rule is good for toddlers and preschoolers, but not school aged kids.

Party will be in late June. Should I just fill the whole piñata with candy or other items? Also, this is our first time doing a piñata. Any advice as to how best to do it with 6 year olds? one swing each? blindfold or no blindfold?
