Also, is the program for the whole school? Difficult to get in? Available for the entire county or only in-bound?

This is our second year at Paint Branch. You can apply for transfer, or move to the area for the program (which is what we did). We are very happy with the Chinese program. The class size for K is small and there are 2 teachers in one classroom ( both Chinese and the English teacher).

The principal is very nice, so you can certainly give him a call if you have any questions. Here is the website : http://www1.pgcps.org/paintbranch/

Transfer information is found at this link, but it looks like the transfer period ended on June 10th.

I talked about my experience with this school in this thread, toward the end of the second page.

I'm in-bound, so I'm not 100% sure but I don't think it's open to the whole county, just in-bound.

Huh. Just like the previous post by someone else, no replies. Is it because no one has any experience or knowledge at all about this school?

I have been sifting through old threads, but wanted to directly ask if anyone has any experience with Paint Branch. I have a 4 year old in a native Chinese speaking household and was interesting in the Chinese immersion program. It's likely a little farther from potential jobs, but I'm still considering it.
