I'm like you OP. I used to be in an LTR with a guy who I would almost never turn down (when I did it was for a very good reason). When he turned me down I about lost it. Thankfully it was a rare occurance!

I feel like there's a double standard. If he initiates and I am not in the mood, he gets sad. When I initiate and he turns down, if I get sad, he gets offended.

Probably need more details OP. How receptive are you when he initiates? Are his actions normal in your relationship when it comes from your side? If so, I think he gets a little more leeway if he was exhausted. Otherwise it's fair to look into what this tells you about his thoughts towards relationship maintenance.

DW is simple, most of the time... She has a short fuse when she is tired, hungry, or horny. I do my part to ensure she is taken care of on all cases.
