True, and older kids can travel on their own to school. Hard to imagine when you've still got kids in elementary school.

Annoying? maybe. A nightmare? not really. Most families in DC (and in America in general) send their middle schoolers and high schoolers to different locations.

That's what they said about LAMB too...

By middle / high school most kids commute independently so the sibling thing isn't such a big factor.

FOCUS, Wash Latin and one other charter sued the city over the per pupil funding allocation alleging charter students are shortchanged compared to FCPS students.

Been working its way through legal process for more than a year now.

They don't have approval to expand and no location. Fall 2017 would be earliest possible date.

I wonder if they would wait for the outcome of the FOCUS lawsuit to proceed?

Could you please post a link to the minutes? They made an announcement last spring that they were starting plans for opening another campus. Supposedly, that's part of the reason the current headmistress is stepping down this year.

They are putting the finishing touches on a brand new gym at the campus they just fully renovated and moved into three years ago. Doubtful.

Hi,

Is there any chance Washington Latin could be moving to a new campus? Just looking at the notes from recent Board Meetings which mentioned a search for a new building? Would this be to replace their current site?
