I went to Dreams Tulum. It was better than Iberostar, worse than Club Med.

Did Riveria Maya. Property was lovely. Rooms were nice. Great for kids, we went as honeymooners and felt there were too many kids so we're bummed. Now we have kids and would definitely consider it.(how the tables turn!). Food was "meh" but you will get meh food at any middle of the road resort or cruise.

My fiend for married in the Cancun one and it was a fabulous weekend (albeit this was 10yrs ago). Then I've stayed the one in PV -- that was very nice (all rooms face the ocean). I didn't have kids my first go-around and left kids behind the second go-around so I cannot comment on kids camp or activities. But both we very nice, comfortable experiences with good food. Very safe and great little escapes from life.

I also just visited (out of curiosity) the Dreams in Huatulco, Mexico (in the state of Oaxaca). That looked liked he nicest one yet and that beach is so quiet and different from what you get at the "major" Mexican resort towns (like Cancun or Puerto Vallarta). Huatulco was so much calmer and looked to have an awesome kids program.

I love Mexico --enjoy!

Can someone who has been to multiple Dreams resort share which one they thought was the best and why? Trying to pick one. My DDs are 6 and 9. Also, will we have to fight for chairs in the shade at Dreams? That is a huge pet peeve of mine. I don't want to have to be at the pool at 7 am, on vacation, to get a chair. Any thoughts on best one would be helpful. Thanks!

We had a great stay at Dreams in Mexico. All inclusives are definitely not the same. A few things that were better at dreams were the staff, kids club, great food, more than enough lounge chairs, room service and no dinner reservations necessary. Some all inclusives have too many rules and exclusions. Dreams want their guests happy.

We've done the one in Riviera Maya and liked it and will go back. Kids were 8&9 and loved it.

I've been to two - Punta Cana and Tulum. My family really likes them. Enough so they next time we do that type of vacation, we will always go back to Dreams.

I thought the two we went to were very family friendly. Happy with the explorer's club, loved the food, grounds were nice, resort was nice. Was it perfect? No? Would you have a great vacation? Yes.

I went to one in the DR and I liked it pretty well- it was not as nice as the Club Med I went to but it was fine. It was more of a party atmosphere. The Club Med was more family oriented.

I'm looking at the ones in Mexico, but interested in the quality of the chain generally. Thanks!
