Think of it this way. On one hand you say you are a huge critic of yourself. On the other hand, you are denying your boss's judgment that you are good at your job. So maybe assuming you suck is the arrogant position. Maybe you need to learn some humility and accept your boss's assertion that you kick ass.

I'm female. He is male. I am 100% sure he didn't mean it in the slang term used at a bar. As usual, though, I am overthinking this. If someone called you a dragon slayer and you think it was meant as a compliment, what does it mean?
