I think the Sanders supporters who don't vote for Hillary will end up voting for the Green Party or will just sit out the election.

If the general ends up being a close election, she is going to need the Sanders supporters to "come home" and she is some ways off from getting them to do so.

I actually made conscious effort to stay away from opinion articles and pundits this election season. My conclusions are based on direct observations of the candidates and their supporters

I think this is true, but only of a small subset of Bernie voters. The majority of them are not in this camp.

Yep. They come across as either delusional or aggressively crazy.

We need a more liberal platform for the democrats--and a fresh batch of much younger leaders--but the Bernie movement that could have been great has devolved into ridiculousness.

It stops being a movement when you spend most of your time bashing those who disagree with you instead of promoting your ideas. A mob, sure. Although I absolutely think that's a small subset of Sanders supporters

Totally agree. It's like they've been watching the destruction of the GOP and are now saying "let's do that, too!"

Sanders' and Clinton's positions on actual issues are not that far apart, and are virtually indistinguishable when compared to Trump's positions-du-jour. In some places where there were differences, Sanders has succeeded in getting Clinton to move to the left.

For years indepedents, liberals, progressive and even some Republicans have been decrying the fact that Tea Party conservatives scorn compromise and insist on having it their way or they won't play ball.

If Sanders' "movement" supporters take the same attitude and refuse to support Clinton then they risk cutting off their nose to spite their face.

Those who voted for Nader in the past may have handed an election to the Republicans, and look where that got us? As they say, those who don't learn from the past are condemned to repeat it.

It's not worth it. Different Bernie fans want different things, and what the "movement" ones wants is incompatible with what others want to see from Hillary (smart leadership). Better not to waste time on the dead enders and instead stick to the moderates. The Bernie movement people can either join the train or get left behind. I'm done with their threats.
