Is kid doing it to be mean intentionally or does kid not realize this might be embarrassing? The kid's motive/awareness affects how I would approach the situation.

Middle schooler lives next door to this woman and decides to tell entire bus about a quirky habit that the woman has (nothing gross or illegal). I am friends with this woman. Kid is the daughter of a popular teacher. What would you do? Tell her? Mind own business and let her continue to embarrassing my friend? Let freedom ring (first amendment)? Let karma do its thing?
